Service Description

Reiki translates to universal life force, or spiritual energy. Innate in all of us, and in every living thing on this planet is a life force energy, that keeps us alive. Given the right self-care and environment, the life force keeps our body & minds healthy and happy, or if we are in a state of stress, resistance, fear, worry, or anger for instance for a sustained period of time, or if our needs are neglected regularly, our life force depletes creating illness, physical tension, pain, and even chronic illness and disease. Reiki and distance reiki can help promote energy flow and balance, and even prevent illness from occurring when used in a preventative way. This is because when we have reiki, we are restoring and rebalancing our life force energy, restoring balance and alignment in the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual bodies. This is typically done via the practitioner 'channeling' life force energy, 'chi' or divine light through the practitioner's hands, and invoking certain esoteric symbols. To do this, the Reiki practitioner must have been attuned by a Reiki Master. During these attunements, practitioners receive energy upgrades, that help them to channel energy for the benefit of another person. We also receive healing symbols, that can be used in a healing treatment. The 'distance' reiki symbol is what facilitates remote reiki, as it acts as a bridge between time and space, making energy timeless, and can be sent to anyone, anywhere on the planet, instantly. This means that you don't need to be physically present to experience this, as Reiki & various physical, spiritual, and hermetic universal laws state that everything is energy, and we are all connected and part of a larger whole. During your session, it's common that you will fall asleep. This is part of your healing process. Prior to the session you will receive further guidance from Laura, including instructions on how to prepare for the session so that you get the most out of it. HEALTH GUIDELINES Generally Reiki is suitable for most healthy individuals. It is not recommended though for pregnant women in the first trimester, or for anyone wearing a pacemaker as the channeled energy may interfere with the rhythm of the pacemaker.
