Important information pre & post sound
Sound healing is a type of energy & vibrational medicine that helps soothe the nervous system, release tension in the body and mind, and rebalance the auric & energy field. However, there are people & some conditions it’s not recommended for. These conditions are listed below, for your safety and information. Before attending any session, I invite you to read and digest the following information for your health, wellbeing and safety.
Sound therapy is not recommended for:

-
Women who are less than 3 months pregnant
-
People who experience PTSD as a result of sound
-
Anyone that’s had major surgery within the last few weeks
-
Anyone with a serious physical or mental health condition such as schizophrenia, paranoid schizophrenia or bipolar disorder
-
Anyone that is intoxicated
Please consult your doctor before attending a sound bath or treatment if you have one of the following:

Pacemaker, cardiac arrhythmia, or artificial heart valve

Sound Healing Aftercare
Like most holistic approaches, sound therapy can create release on many levels - physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. After a sound healing session, I'd recommend doing the following:

-
Drink a little more water than you would normally do – a few glasses is fine. Sound is a massive detoxifier and water is essential to flush them out and replenish the cells
-
Allow time and space after the session to process. Consider writing in a journal, connecting with nature, or doing something calming & creative
-
Eat something light and nourishing, to help ground the body
-
Avoid alcohol and stimulants because your body is still processing for at least 24-48 hours

I will always give you this information at the sound bath or after your first session, and you can always contact me if you have any concerns after a session. But I like to have it here as well, so that you can read it ahead of time.

Please also be aware that for 24-48 hours after a sound healing, it is also common to experience anything from wanting to cry more, laugh more, to have an increase in insightfulness and creativity, to feeling a little achy, or fluey or hung-over the next morning - this is because sound detoxifies and releases what is blocked or stuck. This is nothing to be worried about and is all part of the self-healing process as it comes up to be released. Drinking water is an essential part of this process to flush it out.

Whatever happens, I invite you to just go with it, allow, and observe what comes up for you for there many be great ideas, insights, or lessons in the information that comes to you. For most of us, we already have the answers within, we just need the time and space to listen and hear it, and a sound therapy 121 or sound bath can give you that rest, space and time.
If you have any questions or concerns ahead of any session, please do connect with me using the contact information below.
