Sound Massage & Reiki Flow

Service Description

A gentle yet powerful one-to-one session combining the warm radiant feeling of a sound massage with the supportive hands-on (or hands-off) therapy that is Reiki. Together they may help soothe, release tension, and restore flow, life-force energy, and connection. So what happens in a Sound Massage with Reiki? You'll lay down on a professional massage bed fitted with a heated blanket & a grounding mat, and be guided into some gentle breath work to encourage presence and coherence. You'll then feel Himalayan bowls placed on and around the body — to create sustained & harmonic vibrations that soften tension, calm the nervous system, and bring one out of the thinking mind back into the body. Many describe the sensation as a "massage from the inside out", that is warm & radiant, soothing and grounding, and for this reason it's a very popular therapy at Found in Sound. Reiki further supports this by encouraging connection to life force energy, higher self, and inner wisdom so that self-healing can occur on many levels. Each session is unique to you, responding to your body’s rhythm, needs, and natural self-healing process and may be paired with essential oils or crystals to support your intention and therapeutic goals. You will have a chance to share this in your booking & intake form. Whilst the common response to this therapy is relaxation, release is also common in many forms as the body returns to balance. WHAT TO WEAR: Please wear loose, comfortable clothing and socks (essential for warmth and hygiene). GOOD TO KNOW: Women are seen by Laura, and men are seen by Tom. HEALTH GUIDELINES: Sound massage & bowl sound treatment is not be suitable if you are pregnant within the first three months, have bulging, herniated, or slipped discs, have metal in your spine, are epileptic, have sound-induced seizures or have a severe mental illness, or experience seizures as they can alter your brainwave state. You will be asked about your health during booking so please do share all with us.
