The drum is the oldest of all instruments — primal, tribal, and deeply human in sound. Its steady beat feels strangely familiar, echoing the first rhythm we ever knew: the heartbeat in the womb. Long before we hear it, we feel it — and that memory of rhythm is woven into us. The drum can be awakening, journeying, and profound, acting like a physical massage as its low vibrations travel through the body. This one-to-one session combines the deep, earthy pulse of the Bahia Bass Drum with the gentle, balancing touch of Reiki. The Bahia Bass Drum has a warm, resonant voice with a fundamental tone of around 76–77 Hz, undertones of 25–40 Hz, and overtones of 90 Hz and above. This rich frequency range can be felt as much as it’s heard, helping to shift you out of busy, overstimulated states and into a slower, more grounded pace. The entraining beat can quiet the mind, release tension, and open a gateway into meditative or dreamlike states. Reiki is interwoven throughout, channelling calming, restorative energy to support whatever arises in the moment — whether that’s relaxation, emotional release, or simply the stillness to listen inward. This session can be supportive for grounding scattered energy, releasing built-up tension, navigating change, calming the nervous system, exploring sound-based meditation, or deepening self-awareness.
